RPT Percussion is a competitive youth percussion ensemble, based in Central Florida, with home base in Lake County Florida. Originally started as RIPTIDE Percussion Ensemble in the Fall of 2008 as an ensemble for training future percussionists for the Teal Sound Drum & Bugle Corps, we made our competitive debut at the FFCC Percussion/Color guard Premier in Fleming Island in January of 2009, winning our class. At the end of the 2011 season, RIPTIDE separated from Teal Sound and in 2012 rebooted as Riptide Percussion Theater. In 2013 we shortened it to our present name RPT Percussion. Since that time, we have grown to be one of Florida's ELITE PIA Ensembles. We have a talented Championship caliber staff ready to help all in advancing our members abilities in performance, percussion and life skills.
Our rehearsal locations are Tavares and Lake Minneola High Schools.
